( uncommon time ) walkthrough part 1

forest of preludes;

After the event, head to the north to get to the forest. The way out is straightforward and the treasure chests aren't out-of-the way. As Teagan mentions in the event, you don't yet have a healer available, so don't loiter around too much if you run low on items.

Leave through the north entrance to get to the world map.

Items:
Item Name Location
Half Sharp x3 Chest in the clearing in second area
Half Flat Western chest in third area
Flat Eastern chest in third area

solfège;

Go to the inn to progress the story automatically (you won't be able to leave the town until you do). Then head to the shelter and speak to the priest in charge for another event and you'll be able to leave through the northern gate.

The monsters in the next area are tough, so make sure to buy full sets of new equipment for your whole party first. I'd also recommend training in the Forest of Preludes until both Alto and Teagan are at level 5 before progressing.

Hidden Items:
Item Name Location
Basil Wooden box next to the shelter

antiphon grotto;

Once Saki has joined the party, you'll be able to get into this hidden area by investigating the graveyard.

Items:
Item Name Location
Cilantro Grass in the first area

arpeggio pass (first half);

Most of the monsters here are not particularly susceptible to Teagan's special attacks, so use her standard attacks instead. Once she's at level 5 she can use Treatment to heal herself, so try to conserve your healing items for Alto.

Once you reach level 6, the bats will start using a strong thunder spell. Don't skimp on healing and you should be able to make it to the summit without too much trouble.

Items:
Item Name Location
Flat Left alcove in second area
Sharp Top of cliff in second area
White Pinion Left of cave entrance in second area
Sharp Inside alcove in third area
Flat Second level in fourth area
Sage Third level in fourth area
Flat Fourth level in fourth area

boss: hellbird;
Recommended Level: 7

Saki will join the party for this battle, giving you access to his healing magic. However, he will probably be more useful attacking and leaving the healing to Teagan. This boss has high defense and is resistant to earth, darkness, and non-elemental attacks, so unless you're at level 7 and Alto has learned Staccato, you may be in for a long fight.

However, the Hellbird isn't immune to Burn or Poison, so if you're lucky and manage to inflict it with one or the other this will make things quite a bit easier.

The boss will drop a White Pinion and a Double Sharp when it's defeated.

After the cutscene, you can head straight down the ladder to proceed (depending on your characters' remaining HP and MP you may want to go back one screen to heal first).

This is as far as the demo version of the game goes.
