( uncommon time ) walkthrough part 2
arpeggio pass (second half);
You should have less trouble with monsters now that you have three characters. Once you leave the cave you won't be able to go back in until you've spent the night at Libretto, so make sure you have all the items first.
There's an optional scene you can get by examining the sign that can only be seen at this point in the story.
Items:
libretto;
After the series of automatic cutscenes, investigate the town, buy new equipment, and stock up on items. Going back to the entrance of Arpeggio Pass to gain a few levels wouldn't go amiss either, as there's a long dungeon up ahead that you won't be able to backtrack through. (I would recommend that you be at least at level 9.)
When you're ready, head to the north gate of the town and tell Saki that you're done preparing.
Hidden Items:
libretto (library);
Investigate the back of the building before you go inside to get the hidden item.
The little scenes you get by examining the books change depending on the characters you have in your party, so come back again once you have a full roster to see them talking about their taste in literature.
By checking the middle row of bookshelves on the second floor, you'll get a cutscene and open the pathway to the next dungeon.
Hidden Items:
folio (dungeon);
This area is long and you'll run into a lot of encounters, so budget your healing items wisely. Many of the monsters here have resistance to fire, so use Alto's normal attacks instead of wasting her MP. Equipping Teagan with the Cat's Eye Drops you picked up in the last dungeon will save you a lot of hassle, too. If you run out of healing items and don't have any saves before entering the library, just run away from encounters until you reach the bottom and the healing circle. You'll be able to use it for level grinding.
The bookshelves along the way down have some interesting things in them.
Items:
boss: fire fairy;
Recommended Level: 11
Unless Alto is at level 11, she'll be all but useless in this battle. The Fire Fairy is immune to Burn and can cure herself if she is inflicted with Poison, so use Saki's healing magic to deal with her attacks and keep up the offense with Alto and Teagan and you'll be able to win eventually.
The boss will drop a Double Sharp, a Clover, and a Flat after the end of the battle.
After the cutscene, go investigate the room in the north and collect what you came for. You'll automatically be sent back to the beginning of the dungeon. Go outside and to the inn (the shops are all closed for the night) and talk to the innkeeper to begin several more cutscenes.
In the morning you'll be able to leave the town.
Also, at this point in the game the crystals you saw when going through the basement of Folio will be activated, letting you teleport back and forth between BF1 and BF6 at will.
