( uncommon time ) walkthrough part 5
stave II;
Even if you try to enter the forest, you won't be able to, so just Quick Jump through.
Go to the inn for a cutscene, then up the stairs and into the room you've used previously for another cutscene.
After the event sequence, Aubrey will rejoin the party.
polyphony II;
Go to the red light district for a scene, then go to the leftmost back room for another scene.
When you regain control, go back to Bel Canto and go to the kitchen for an event.
When it's over go back to talk to Meirin. After this event she will rejoin the party and give you a hint as to where to head to find Saki.
pizzicato trail II;
You only have three characters available, but the monsters aren't any stronger, so you should be all right going back through this area.
When you find a recovery circle where there wasn't one before, save and get ready for a boss fight.
boss: behemoth;
Recommended Level: 27
As Saki has warned you, this boss is extremely resistant to physical attacks and has high defense. But it is highly susceptible to Wet status, so use Aubrey's Fugue or Arabesque and then attack with Meirin's wind spells. Alto's Brillante and other defense-ignoring skills will also be helpful, as will buffs.
After the boss fight, Alto will leave the party temporarily. Go to Dal Segno for a scene and instructions on what to do next.
If at this point you take longer than two in-game weeks (= stay at inns, shelters, or the Cantabile mansion 14 times) you will get Ending 6, the game's first bad end. Be conservative with your inn usage until you return to Dal Segno with both herbs and you will be fine.
minuet forest II;
Return to area 8 and investigate the suspicious tree to open the entrance to the northern forest. If you're running low on HP/MP, go ahead to area 9 to use the recovery circle before proceeding.
There are several short events on the way north, as well as a recovery circle right outside your destination.
Items:
maggiore;
You can enter the right-hand house through the window to find a hidden item, but otherwise the village is deserted.
The flower you're looking for is on the hill to the north, but examining it will lead to a boss fight.
Hidden Items:
boss: wood fairy;
Recommended Level: 28-29
This boss is immune to Paralysis and resistant to Burn, but still susceptible to fire damage. Equip Meirin with the Amber Drops to guard against earth-elemental attacks, and leave the healing to Aubrey while she and Alto deal damage. You should know what to expect from the previous fairy bosses.
If anyone is on level 30, you can use their special attacks. Alto's and Meirin's are fire-elemental and therefore especially effective.
After the post-battle cutscene you will be able to Quick Jump directly from Maggiore to either entrance of the forest. Teleport to the Stave side and head for the spring icon south of Polyphony.
